A message from Mr Beynon

We have had a busy and exciting half term. It was wonderful to see so many parents at our Harvest Festival Service in Church and then attend our Art Exhibition in school. We have received lots of positive comments about the art work from various visitors and members of the Redstart Trust and we plan to have more exhibitions of children’s work later in the year. We look forward to you arranging to meet with your child’s class teacher after half term (first week back) when we can update you on the start your child has made to the school year and share their targets for improvement. Your help in hearing you children read as much as you can and enabling them to log onto TT Rock Stars is also appreciated. I am delighted that the reformed POMs (Parents of Minerva) are planning the next events after the success of the summer fair. The next one is the Discos on Friday 8 November after school. The POMs have also been successful is helping the school receive a grant for some after school activities on a Tuesday and also a holiday club over half-term. There will be a number of events next term to which you are invited. There will be the Remembrance Display making in the Church by key stage 2 children (Friday 8 November); Christmas Decoration making event on Wednesday 27 November (all classes) and the Christmas Production by Reception and KS1 (Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 December). We will also support Children in Need again this year with a fund raising event on Friday 15 November. We are still awaiting the final plans for our building project to expand the Nursery. I will keep you informed and will have a session when you can look at the plans and see the arrangements we will make for keeping the site and children safe during the building work.Categories: 1 CategorySchool News
